What you type into the tools
The names, words and options you enter are processed by code running in your own browser. They are not sent to our servers or to any third party, and we do not store, log or see them. The generated results exist only on your screen. Close the tab and they are gone.
What we collect
We do not ask you to create an account, sign in or give us an email address, and we have no forms that collect personal information. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children.
The site is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare. Like almost any web host and content network, Cloudflare’s servers process basic technical data to deliver pages and keep the site secure, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, and may keep it in standard logs. We do not use that data to identify you. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for how they handle it.
Cookies, analytics and local storage
Cookies. NameJoiner does not set cookies, and it does not show ads. Fonts are the ones already on your device, so no font service is contacted either.
Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see, in aggregate, which pages are visited, where visitors come from (for example a search engine), and roughly what country, browser and device they use, plus how quickly pages load. Cloudflare states that this service does not use cookies or localStorage to collect its metrics and does not “fingerprint” individuals through their IP address, browser details or other data. It does not record query strings. The reports we see are totals and averages, not profiles of individual people, and we do not combine them with anything else. Because it works this way, we do not show a cookie banner for it.
Local storage. The only thing NameJoiner stores in your browser is the results you choose to save with the bookmark button. They are kept in your browser’s local storage, on your device, so they are still there after a refresh. They are not sent to us or anyone else. Use “Clear saved” or clear your browser’s site data to remove them. If your browser blocks local storage, saving is simply turned off.
If we add advertising or other analytics in future, we will update this policy first or at the same time, say what is collected and by whom, and add a consent choice where the law requires one.
Links to other sites
Some results offer a link to check whether a name is available elsewhere: a domain search on Namecheap, or a profile page on Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat or X. Those links open in another site only when you click them, and the name you chose becomes part of that address, so the other site will see it. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we do not control them.
If you use Share, your saved names and a link to the tool go to the app or site you pick, such as your phone’s share sheet, WhatsApp, X, Facebook or your email app, and only after you choose it. The Download card button draws an image on your own device and never uploads it. The listen button uses your browser’s built-in speech feature; on some devices its voices are provided by your operating system or browser vendor, and NameJoiner itself sends nothing.
The Business Name Generator’s domain links may become affiliate links in future. If they do, they will be labeled, and the registrar may set its own cookies once you arrive on its site. It will not cost you anything extra.
Your rights
Because we do not collect personal data about you, and the analytics we use does not identify individuals, there is generally nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you are in a region with data protection laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA and believe we hold something about you, write to us and we will look into it and answer.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes, such as adding advertising or different analytics, will be reflected here at the same time.
